Key terms in plain English
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This page sums up the parts of our Terms that matter most to anyone checking how bernard treats content. The full Terms are the legal agreement, and they apply if anything here differs.
You own your content
- Everything you upload, import, create or store in bernard stays yours. Our Terms do not transfer ownership to us.
- You give bernard permission to host, store, copy, display, adapt and send your content, only as needed to run, secure and improve the service and to show it to the audiences you choose. For example, we resize images and reformat pages.
You must have the right to use it
- You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, everything you put on bernard. That includes fonts, images, video, plugins and embedded material.
- When you ask bernard to move an existing website, you confirm that you own it, or are allowed to copy and host it and everything on it.
Content that is not allowed
You must not use bernard to store, publish, send or link to content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use. In particular:
- child sexual abuse material, or anything that sexually exploits or endangers children;
- content that promotes, incites or helps terrorism, violent extremism or serious violence;
- content that breaks anyone’s copyright or other intellectual property, including pirated or fake goods;
- content that is defamatory or breaches anyone’s privacy;
- malware, or anything designed to harm systems or get into them without permission;
- anything else that is illegal where it is hosted or made available.
You must also not send spam, harass anyone, attack or disrupt the service, or resell it except as the Terms allow.
What bernard does about it
- We can suspend, disable or take down any content, site or account that we reasonably believe breaks the Terms, infringes someone’s rights, is unlawful, or puts others at risk. We can do this at once, without notice first. Where practical, we tell the owner afterwards.
- We can suspend or end an account that breaks the Terms.
Report content
If you see content on a site hosted by bernard that you believe is illegal or infringes your rights, email hello@bernardmoves.com. Tell us the page address and why you are reporting it.
